I feel this story didn’t really pack the “oomph” that I had intended but it’s not the last we’ll see of Dan and Heather. One of the perks of doing these short little stories, if one doesn’t quite come out right I can put it on the shelf for a while, do other short stories letting these characters settle for a bit in my head, and revisit them later.
